VxRail monitoring

In this section, we will discuss the monitoring of the hardware and software status of the VxRail appliance. The VxRail Manager plugin for vCenter can provide hardware monitoring of each VxRail appliance, including the VxRail node, network connection interface, power supply, and disk drive. In Figure 4.19, we make sure that Health Monitoring Status is Enabled, and then this provides proactive hardware monitoring of the VxRail appliance:

Important note

When the health monitoring status is disabled, any hardware issue and health system event/warning associated with the VxRail node cannot be displayed.
