As we have seen in the previous chapters, Aperture is a very powerful piece of software. You can accomplish quite a lot within the application, but it does have its limits. The tools inside Aperture are generally designed for making broad edits to your image, and while you can selectively edit with brushes, if you need to get into precise pixel-level manipulations, you just can't do it within Aperture. So, for example, while we previously looked at how good Aperture's cloning and healing tool is, there are also some limits as to what you can achieve, so for complex edits you may need to use an application, such as Photoshop. There are also some important image correction techniques that Aperture can't do either, or is not very good at. For example, Aperture has no tools for lens distortion correction.
