Developing a radiant hierarchy through word sizes


The structure of our mind map should be such that it shows a radiant hierarchy, and it has to go hand-in-hand with word sizes. We must always remember that the outcome of this development should be clear for the reader of the mind map.

Getting ready

It is time to explore and organize the different characters in the mind map of The Phantom of the Opera. So, we have four types of characters and we need to develop a radiant hierarchy to organize them for better understanding.

How to do it...

We are going to learn how to organize nodes, which types of nodes can be split or joined, and how to sort them alphabetically. Besides this, we need to focus on the size of words as well, such that the words will be coherent in the mind map. Perform the following steps:

  1. Open the file that you are going to work with. So far, it looks like the following screenshot:

  2. Click on Main within the characters. Click on New Child Node.

  3. Click on Insert | New Sibling Node...
