In this chapter you learned how to automate parts of Cacti.

You learned how to use the CLI to add realm permissions to a user and automate the import of new devices using the CLI and some custom code. You also learned how to create a new Tree Rule to automatically put devices into the correct Cacti tree. The chapter also showed you how to create a Graph Rule to add 64-bit counter traffic graphs to all interfaces that are up and are using SNMP version 2.

You should now be able to automate most of the common Cacti tasks by using the Cacti CLI and the new automation feature.
