Summary

In this chapter, we dived into the big data world. When dealing with billions of records increasing at a fast rate, usual techniques and technologies are useless. We had the opportunity to lay our hands on the basic grid computing techniques and designs that will guide us to the right path anytime we need to handle huge datasets.

In the next chapter, we will take a tour around the profiling and performance analysis tools available within Microsoft Visual Studio. We have already seen all kinds of architectures, strategies, and technologies in all eight chapters, including this one; although important, we need analysis tools to thoroughly understand how they behave in terms of various performance aspects.
