In this chapter, using an agricultural vulnerability modeling example, we covered interpolation and dynamic backend processing using spatial queries. The final application allows an end user to click on anything within a study area and see a score calculated from the interpolated point data and an algebraic model using a dynamic Python CGI code that queries a SQLite database. In the next chapter, we will continue to explore dynamic websites with an example that provides simple client editing capabilities and the use of the tiling and UTFGrid methods to improve performance with more complicated datasets.
