The capacity analysis page


On the vC Ops custom dashboard, found at https://<UI_VM_IP_Address>/vcops-custom/, there is a Forensics tab as shown in the following screenshot. If we hover over the Forensics tab and click on Capacity Analysis, we're taken to the CAPACITY ANALYSIS page.

This page is only available with the Enterprise version of vCenter Operations Manager.

As shown, the CAPACITY ANALYSIS page has two widgets on the top, consisting of Resource-Tags and Metrics. At the bottom of the page, we can see a graph of a forecast for a chosen metric. The Resource-Tags widget contains all of the resources in our environment. Some of these have been tagged by default as certain kinds of resources and some are manually tagged by the administrator. To the right is the Metrics widget, which is not populated by default. It only populates with relative metrics after we've chosen a resource-tag and entity from the List.
