I’m going to set up a duality here, and it’s an oversimplification, I grant you, but it’s helpful to frame my thinking. People use Spring because it’s a framework for building frameworks, and they use it because it’s a framework for building applications. I suspect latter is the vast majority of people who use it. But that’s not to say there aren’t some in the former.
Indeed, all the various Spring projects themselves in turn extend the Spring Framework and add even more value to the core Spring value proposition.
There are many reasons to use Spring and Spring Boot. Obviously, it offers an endless list of features supporting all manner of use cases on the server side. The list goes down to the floor and out the door! It is the richest integrated framework for building backend server-side applications, with features supporting all manner of use cases.
