Using AJAX to load scripts in web pages


In this recipe, let's see how to work with the script data type in AJAX. To demonstrate, we will load the jQuery form plugin on the page using an AJAX call. We will then add the reset functionality using this plugin to the Reset button on the form.

Getting ready

  1. Download the jQuery form plugin from http://plugins.jquery.com/project/form and save it to the js folder in the project.

  2. Add a new web form Recipe4.aspx to the current project.

  3. Create a simple Change Password form with the following markup:
