Cambridge, Massachusetts-based website developer Ethan Marcotte created an approach he refers to as "responsive web design" to support desktop computers with different sized displays as well as mobile devices — all with one code base. Though this approach is not required, it can be viewed as another step toward creating accessible experiences. Let's take a closer look at his approach.
