Chapter 2. Setting Up a Sass and Compass project

In the last chapter, Getting Started with Sass and Compass, we learnt about what Sass and Compass are, some of their benefits, and how to get them both installed.

In this chapter, we're going to press on and set up our first Sass and Compass project. Once we've completed this chapter, we will have a base project we can reuse every time we need to start a new web project, with everything set to our preference. It's just the start of having a more maintainable code base for future projects.

Before we get into this, indulge me a brief digression.
