Setting up Table Rates shipping


Shipping plays a vital role in any eCommerce shop. In Magento shops, sometimes people mess up while trying to add Table Rates for the shipping method. In this recipe, we will add some Table Rates for our Magento shop.

Getting ready

Fire up your web browser and log in to your Magento shop's admin panel.

How to do it...

  1. Log in to your Magento admin panel and point your browser to System | Configuration.

  2. From the top-left corner of the Magento admin panel look for the label Current Configuration Scope: and select Default Config.

  3. You will see a link at the left sidebar to navigate to the page Shipping Methods Under Sales tab. Click this link.

  4. Expand the tab Table Rates and fill it up as follows:

  6. We got to change the Current Configuration Scope: again to the website where we want to apply the Table Rates now. Let's say we will set it under the main website. Select Main Website from the Current Configuration Scope: the page will be reloaded.
