Overview of this book

Windows 10 is one of the most widely used OS for personal computers, tablets, embedded devices, and Internet of Things devices. In this course, you will explore Windows 10 features and understand how they can be put to use in an Active Directory environment. The course begins with a quick tour of what it has to offer and takes you straight to building your own virtual lab environment using VirtualBox. Next, you will learn how to upgrade from Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 to Windows 10 and build a Microsoft Server 2016 domain. As you advance, you will get to grips with Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Windows 10 Firewall, Windows Defender, and User Account Control. The course also covers networking, troubleshooting, performance, and user preferences in Windows 10. After that, you will get to grips with maintenance, disk management, and installing a printer in Windows 10. Finally, you will use PowerShell, explore some tips and tricks of Windows 10, and get a preview of Windows 11. By the end of this course, you will have gained not only the knowledge but also the practical skills required to support and troubleshoot Windows 10 in a Windows Server domain environment. Overview of Sysinternal's Process Explorer
Process Explorer is a free task manager and system monitor software for the Windows operating systems. Process Explorer is a more powerful version of Task Manager, a program usually used to get information about computer performance and resource usage. However, process Explorer offers many features not present in Task Manager—it will show you the detailed information about each process, provide you the CPU usage tracking for processes, figure out which process has loaded a DLL file, enable you to kill or suspend a process, interactively set the priority of a process, and much more.
