Summary

In this chapter, we built a very basic ad delivery network using Redis. Though this is not even close to what is required in a real advertising network, it should provide you with some ideas on how Redis can be used in a few features of an ad network in order to make the system faster. A few complex cases of targeting might get very complex to be implemented in Redis; however, maintaining the indexes in Redis helps in speeding up the ad delivery considerably. In the next chapter, we will see how Redis is well suited to implementing some exciting features in social networks.
