Marthe Bijman is a writer, literary critic, and communications specialist in mining engineering. She has worked extensively in the mining and information technology industries. She holds a BA degree, BA honors in literature, BA honors in journalism, H.Dip.Ed in language teaching, and an MA in applied linguistics and literary sciences. She is the president of Red Pennant Communications Corp (www.red-pennant-communications.com). She has nurtured a lifelong interest in language and literary analysis, and is an astute and prolific reader and literature reviewer. She publishes her reviews and thoughts on the written word on her blog and website, www.sevencircumstances.com. In collaboration with her husband, she is the author and designer of self-published photography, and reference and poetry books featured on www.blurb.com. Born in South Africa, she now lives and works in Vancouver, Canada.

Mikah J. Pritchard is currently an instructional designer at Eastern Kentucky University. She is pursuing a PhD in educational psychology at the University of Kentucky. Her primary research interests revolves around student motivation and student persistence in distance education courses. Mikah has an M.S. Ed. in instructional systems technology from Indiana University and a BS in psychology from Oakland City University. Her areas of expertise are instructional design, e-learning, educational psychology, technical writing, instructional technology consulting, and graphic design. Mikah enjoys exploring, learning, and implementing new technologies and strives to produce engaging instructions with a strong theoretical base.
