The quoting process

If the opportunities we create are the monetary representation of the value of the deal, the quoting process is how we fully monetize the deal.

Creating a quote

Moving to the Quote section, we now want to create a quote from the Opportunity Lines we entered. To do so, select + New Quote and the system will automatically create a quote for you.

The screen the system presents to you next is the Quote screen:

Some key fields to note on this quote are the following:

  • Potential Customer should be your client record created as part of the lead conversion. However, this could also be an existing client.
  • Account Manager should be you or whoever the seller is.
  • Quote Expires On will be when the quote expires for your potential client.
  • Product Price List is the price list for the products listed in the Opportunity Lines section and the Products subsection.
