Telling your story

As a CISO, you need to be able to tell your story and relate the challenges that being a CISO entails. While the challenges of being a CISO may be common across various organizations owing to similarities in the threat landscape for most organizations, there are nevertheless unique challenges that you may face that may not be common among all CISO executives in various organizations globally. Some of these unique challenges may be caused by factors such as the following:

  • First time working as a CISO or leading a security team. The challenge of doing a particular job for the first time can be onerous for any individual. Therefore, a CISO in such a situation needs to adapt fast and be open to new ideas to enable them to stabilize as soon as possible in their new environment.
