Although we have 20 presets to entirely change the look of the landscape, this doesn't mean that we cannot change any settings and actually paint the landscape. This recipe explores the Paint submenu and shows how we can use Lumion's textures to paint and change the landscape completely.
Use a proxy of your building as a reference in the scene so that you can focus your attention just on the terrain.
To start painting the landscape in your project, perform the following steps:
Select the Landscape menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
Select the Paint submenu, the one with a brush as an icon.
The following screenshot is the menu that appears:
With the left mouse button pressed, you can start painting the terrain.
Each square represents the different materials in the landscape, but you will not see them if you are using a flat terrain.
On top of each thumbnail is the Edit Type button, which is characterized by a small arrow icon.
