FCPX comes with tons of video and audio effects, virtually every one of them made using Motion. That's one of the coolest features of the relationship between FCPX and Motion—Motion users can create their own effects, transitions, and generators, and then easily share them with other FCPX users, even if those other users don't have Motion on their machines!
All you need is an Internet connection, as we're going to download video effects we'll be using in the next few recipes. Also, make sure FCPX is shut down while installing effects. It technically doesn't have to be, however, sometimes you won't see newly downloaded effects until FCPX restarts, so we might as well close up shop for a few minutes now!
