Introduction

Welcome to the most important chapter in this book! In the next batch of recipes, you will get to essentially mess with the space-time continuum of Final Cut Pro X. We will start off with the "time" component by learning how to play around with the speed of clips. We will go beyond simply speeding up or slowing down whole clips and will freeze them, replay them, and ramp them as well!

After that we will move on to the "space" portion where we will alter the position, size, and rotation of clips, as well as learn how to animate these changes with keyframes!

Hop in your DeLorean, buckle up, and prepare to hit 88 mph (if you didn't understand that, please do yourself a favor and go rent Back to the Future).
