Printing our comic


There are three ways we could do this. They are as follows:

  • Print the comic on our own printer

  • Using a local copy store to print out the comic

  • Go online and use a print on demand (POD) print service

Each one of these methods has advantages and problems. We'll examine them as we go.

Using our home printer

Think of a DVD player. It's a digital medium, and the picture is perfect. Now, imagine watching "The Incredibles" on a small-screen, black and white, 70s television. It's not very pretty.

The same thing goes, not as far though, for printers. As a general rule, if the printer can output decent photographs, then it should do well printing out our work, especially if it's color. The second most important thing, apart from printers, is paper. While copy paper is fine for e-mails and text, we need something a bit more sturdier for artwork. Since we'll be printing out artwork, it will saturate the page with ink (or toner if you're using a laser printer), and if we use inexpensive paper...
