As the complexity of cloud infrastructure increases, challenges of scalability and maintenance increase significantly. For any organization, it becomes very important to respond and resolve issues immediately and minimize impact on internal or external customers. As we discussed in this chapter, Oracle Enterprise Manager offers an exhaustive set of monitoring mechanisms. We also saw how we can set up some of these features, such as rules, rulesets, and notifications.
We also discussed how we can set up effective notification rules to make sure support and administration teams are is always aware of any incidents. The next chapter focuses on using the Oracle Enterprise Manager programmable interface using Cloud APIs and EMCLIs.
