PowerShell, as a scripting and automation framework from Microsoft, has been around for quite a long time now. System engineers and server administrators realized its importance and credibility after the launch of Windows Server 2008, where PowerShell integrated inside Windows Server 2008 as a management and task automation utility. Afterwards, we all saw a turning point when all the Microsoft products were heavily integrated with PowerShell, and most of their custom configuration was made available only through the command-line interface (PowerShell), especially Microsoft Exchange Server, Forefront Family Products, System Center Family Products, and Lync Server.
