In this chapter, we've covered what is possible when managing iOS devices like the iPhone in an Exchange Server 2010 environment. Early in the chapter we took a high-level view of where ActiveSync has shortcomings when managing Apple devices once they are in the hands of end users, and we briefly looked at what third party products are available that complement Exchange ActiveSync management to provide a full Mobile Device Management Solution.
We've then moved on to look at how we can use the features built into Exchange Server 2010 to view individual mobile device information, including information about when the user last synchronized their device, and then examined how we can use the Exchange Management Shell and built-in commands to parse log files on the Exchange Client Access Servers to produce basic reports about our iOS Device estate.
