Report filters are very useful for a system administrator. Very often, we come across a situation where we need to refine the report filter to meet the business requirement. So, to avoid rework we can define a report source as a reusable component. In this recipe, we will learn to work with report sources.
For this recipe, you need an active service-now instance, valid credentials and an admin role.
Open a web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer).
Type the instance web address in the address bar.
Log in to the Service-Now instance using the credentials.
Type the
reportin the search bar (left-hand side).Under the reports application, from the administration section, click on Report Sources:
You will be redirected to the following page, where you can view the predefined Report Sources. If you want to create a new data source, then click on New button:
