Similar to Elasticsearch, ES-Hadoop comes with sensible defaults for most purposes. However, you can configure most of its specific behaviors. You can use the configuration options listed in this Appendix in the configuration
object of your job. You can use these configurations for any of the Hadoop ecosystem integrations, such as MapReduce job, Pig, Hive, Cascading, Spark, or Storm. The following topics in the book guide you on how to pass these configurations.
