To run the examples in the book the following software will be required:

  • QuickBooks: Enterprise edition

    Most of the recipes in the book are also useful for the Pro or Premier versions. Furthermore, most of the recipes in the book are useful for many editions prior to the 12.0 edition.

    Most of the recipes are useful for any industry edition, and a few are available only in the Accountant edition. These are mentioned specifically in the book.

  • Excel: Microsoft Excel 2007 or 2010

Who this book is for

This book is written for CPAs, CAs, consultants, CFOs, controllers, managers, or bookkeepers with extensive experience with QuickBooks. Prior experience with the Enterprise edition, however, is not required. You should have a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and a mastery of the basics of the QuickBooks environment.
