Setting up fog


Fog is a natural phenomenon that can be added to our project, and it can really change a scene dramatically. With it, we can make a scene more mysterious or reproduce the haze where dust, smoke, and other dry particles obscure the clarity of the sky. With the Fog effect, we can achieve this and much more.

Getting ready

Before we start, go to the Photo or Movie mode in order to apply and see this effect in action.

How to do it…

  1. In the Photo or Movie mode, click on the New effect button.

  2. Under the Weather tab, select the Fog effect.

  3. When you add this effect to your project, initially you cannot see any change and that is because you need to start tweaking the following settings:

  4. Start by increasing the Fog density setting, and you will start seeing fog once you get to the 1.5 value.

  5. To create the haze effect, you need to adjust the Fog falloff setting to a value of over 0.1.

  6. Finally, change the color using the color board, where you can adjust not only the color, but also the intensity...
