Another option to control the Sun is using a new feature introduced in Lumion: Version 4. This option, that we can find under the Effects label, is called Sun study. It is an amazing feature that allows us to select any point on the planet and mimic the Sun in that location. However, there is much more that we can do with this effect.
If you want a specific location, find out the latitude and longitude in order to use that location with this effect.
With the Photo or Movie mode enabled, add a new effect.
From the World tab, select the Sun study effect.
Once you add this effect to your project, you will notice a subtle change in the environment, and this happens because Lumion uses a default value to place the Sun based on the geo-coordinates and time parameters.
Start by changing the location and you can do that by using the last two settings, Latitude and Longitude, as shown in the following screenshot:
