Duplicating or moving projects from one drive to another


You may or may not have completed work on a project yet, but there are a number of scenarios where you need to duplicate projects and events, sometimes to the same drive, sometimes to another. Whether it's creating multiple cuts/versions of a project or a need to move a project from your computer to an external drive to save space or take the project to another computer, all this can be accomplished from one window in FCPX.

Getting ready

If you're hoping to move a project from one hard drive to another, go ahead and plug that drive in now.

How to do it...

  1. 1. If you have a project open, return to the Project Library by hitting Command + 0 or by clicking on the Project Library button in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

  2. 2. Highlight the project you want to move.
