SharePoint and BizTalk integration: Why SharePoint is better with BizTalk

SharePoint is better with BizTalk as it extends SharePoint's reach into the enterprise. No longer is it an isolated system that requires manual input from users. While it is possible to integrate SharePoint without BizTalk, BizTalk has built-in features that reduce the amount of time it takes to integrate systems with SharePoint. Integration can be accomplished using the Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) Adapter, which is included in the BizTalk installation, and by interacting with SharePoint's out-of-the-box Web Services.

Organizations have found some clever ways to enhance or extend the functionality of SharePoint with other systems via BizTalk. We will now walk through some of these different scenarios that demonstrate how we can use SharePoint and BizTalk together to provide real value to your organization.
