Categories and tags provide a powerful mechanism to mark, list, and search different assets and allow their subsequent selection with the help of dedicated portlets such as Category Navigation, Asset Publisher, or Tag Cloud. The mechanism is very simple: tags and categories are assigned to web contents, documents, or other types of assets. Then, it is possible to set portlets to present only those assets with a specific category and/or tags. It is possible to assign one or more categories and/or tags to an asset.
Categories and tags can be assigned to any asset while adding or editing this asset.
