Since Liferay Version 6.2 is the available option, it allows us to set a new display template for Asset Publisher. In real-world applications, it is quite a useful and powerful tool that helps define custom display templates for assets, such as journal article, blog entry, message board, and so on. For example, you may want to display only an asset's descriptions or add selected categories and tags.
Let's assume that we have a use case that describes Asset Publisher view requirements as follows:
Display title
Display description
Display selected tags and categories
Display asset links
Display Read more link
In order to define a new display template, log in as an administrator and follow these steps:
Log in as an administrator. Go to Admin | Configuration and choose Application Display Templates from the left menu.
Click on the Add button and choose Asset Publisher Template.
