Dr. Jason E. VanHorn is an associate professor of geography at Calvin College and an expert in cartography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and remote sensing. He holds a PhD from The Ohio State University, a master of science degree from Texas A&M University, and a bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University. He is the chair of the GEO department at Calvin College and his current research foci involve 2D and 3D visualization of physical dune geomorphology and security issues dealing with terrorism and Homeland Security analysis.
