In this chapter, we will see how to carry out the following recipes:
- Creating security groups and assigning them to users
- Adding security access to models
- Limiting access to fields in models
- Limiting record access using record rules
- Using security group to activate features
In order to concisely get the point across, the recipes in this chapter make small additions to an existing module. We chose to use the module created by the recipes in Chapter 4, Creating Odoo Addon Modules. To follow the examples better here, you should have that module created and ready to use.
