Technical requirements
The example used in this chapter uses Docker as the container platform and Kubernetes as the container orchestration platform. You can download Docker from the official Docker website: https://docs.docker.com/desktop/.
The Kubernetes CLI tool can be installed on your computer from the Kubernetes website: https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/tools/install-kubectl/. You can use a cloud platform such as Amazon EKS, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to build a Kubernetes cluster. If you need to test a Kubernetes deployment on your local computer, you can install Minikube. This program will create a local Kubernetes cluster so that you can test the provided examples locally. Kustomize is used as a Kubernetes artifact management tool that you can download and install from the https://kubectl.docs.kubernetes.io/installation/kustomize/ website.
