JBoss Tools 3 Developers Guide
In this chapter, we will discuss the jBPM Tools. As you probably know, jBPM is the acronym for Java Business Process Management, and it represents a JBoss workflow management system. The term "business process management" typically refers to a set of actions meant to optimize business processes for adapting them to dynamic environments. jBPM executes business processes expressed in BPEL or in its own process definition language, jPDL.
If you are not familiar with the jBPM paradigm, then before going further, it is advisable that you read the jBPM manual, which is available online at http://docs.jboss.org/jbpm/v3/userguide/ (if you download a jPDL Runtime, then this documentation is also available in the /doc folder of the received distribution).
Next, you will see how to configure a proper environment for developing and running/testing jBPM processes. After that, we will develop a jBPM process through jBPM Tools, and we will run it on a JBoss server with jBPM support...
