The log collector utility

The log collector utility of RHEV allows users to gather the entire logs of your virtualization infrastructure or a custom collection of logs. This collection includes specific data centers, clusters, hosts, RHEV-M logs, and the RHEV database dump, which is useful to troubleshoot and analyze the root cause of any specific issue that you might come across on your virtualization stack.

To collect the complete logs of your entire virtualization infrastructure, run the following command:

[root@rhevmanager ~]# engine-log-collector
INFO: Gathering oVirt Engine information...

With the log collector utility, you can use the logs collected for your own analysis or to open a service request with Red Hat Global Support Service for any further assistance. Please refer to man page of engine-log-collector for more information on how to use various options.
