Now, let's make sure that Sass is working and try making a change to the Foundation Sass variables file. So, in the Sass folder, open the _settings.scss
file. This is the extension of a Sass file. There are two ways you can write Sass, and therefore, you might see Sass files with the extension of .sass
. This allows you to write Sass without any semicolons and curly brackets, and spacing of your code becomes more important. We will not cover this in this book because Foundation is not using this format and it is deprecated and not that common anymore, but it should be mentioned.
Now that you have the _settings.scss
file open, you will notice two things. First, there is an underscore in the file name; this is to show that this file is being included. It is not needed.
