MongoLab MongoDB on Microsoft Azure


The Microsoft Azure Marketplace is the place where independent software vendors can offer their solutions to Azure customers. It enables Microsoft Azure developers to use software from third-party vendors like MongoDB, MySQL, and RavenHQ among others. The software is used on a subscription basis.

Creating a MongoLab MongoDB subscription

The first step is to create a new MongoLab MongoDB subscription:

  1. Open the Azure management portal that can be found at http://manage.windowsazure.com.

  2. On the left-hand side of the page, select Marketplace.

  3. Select MongoLab in the App Services branch.

  4. On the next page, you can personalize the subscription. Starting from the plan (the price is shown in the local currency) the set of which is unique for every vendor, you can set a promotion code if you have it, subscription, name and region. Select the Sandbox plan – it is free to use and test.

  5. Review the information on the next page and press the Purchase button.
