You will be able to work with drawings, music, sounds, videos, photographs and text, and you will combine all these pieces into nice experiences for children who need to find extra motivation to improve their learning skills. Besides, it will teach you to take advantage of general purpose, non-expensive hardware like gamepads, joysticks, digital pens also known as pen-sketches, multi-touch screens, netbooks and touchpads. The usage of some of these hardware devices combined with visually rich activities usually offer children an extra motivation to focus on solving the exercises.

Chapter 4. Developing Sorting Activities, Mixing Shapes and Pictures

We can use pictures representing situations, parts of sequences, and geometric shapes in order to develop sorting activities. It is possible to use many different applications to create exercises that challenge the student to order certain elements in many creative visually rich experiences in Moodle. This way, we can train time management capabilities, visual perception, and size and space notions in different scenarios.

In this chapter, Alice goes to the supermarket. We will learn how to create rich activities related to her shopping experience. By reading this chapter and following the exercises we shall:
