HTML5 for Flash Developers
By :
Since the advent of ActionScript 3, Flash developers have become accustomed to developing in an object-oriented programming (OOP) paradigm. When transitioning to JavaScript, many developers with an experience of OOP would initially be put off by the syntax JavaScript uses to accomplish the same functionality. However, a misunderstanding of the syntax may lead to a misunderstanding of the functionality. Therefore, in this chapter we will cover the use of JavaScript OOP, Events, and Event Listeners as well.
In this chapter we will cover the following:
JavaScript class structure, usage, and syntax
Object inheritance
Class constructors
Tools and frameworks to aid in development
Creating custom events and listeners
Change the font size
Change margin width
Change background colour
