Administration Console


The Administration Console is a very powerful and user-friendly web application that simplifies several aspects of administering Geronimo. After the Geronimo server has been started, the Administration Console can be launched by using the URL http://localhost:8080/console. The default username is system, with a password of manager.

The Administration Console consists of several portlets based on the JSR 168 standard implemented by Apache Pluto. The Console Navigation pane on the left-hand side groups these portlets into different groups based on their function, for easy navigation. Server, Services, Applications, Security, Debug Views, and Embedded DB are the portlet groups in the Administration Console. You can add new portlets and portlet groups to the extensible Administration Console by creating Administration Console extensions.
