Summary

In this chapter, we have seen various aspects of securing a Geronimo server and the server components such as the embedded Derby database, Administration Console, and deployer. We have discussed the various JAAS login modules provided by Geronimo for user authentication, and have also looked at some advanced features, such as auditing, lockout, and so on. We have also discussed how security realms are created using these login modules to secure web, EJB, and EAR applications deployed in Geronimo. In the next chapter, we will look at the CORBA support provided by Geronimo. You will learn how to configure EJBs running in Geronimo, which accessible from remote CORBA clients, and how to configure remote EJB references in Geronimo in order to invoke external EJBs, using CORBA.
