In the last chapter, we learned how to use Sweep NURBS, which allowed us to draw a path with a spline and define the shape that gets swept along that path. There's a similar tool inside the deformers called Spline Wrap, which takes a specific object rather than a spline and aligns it along the path of the spline. In this recipe, we'll learn some features available in Spline Wrap that aren't available with Sweep NURBS, so you can better discern which tool to use in the future.
In this recipe, we're going to create a twisting ribbon animation that will pass right in front of our camera and act as an interesting transition we can render out. Inside this project, I have drawn the spline path that we'll use for this recipe so that we can all be on the same page. The ribbon will pass right in front of the camera with the right settings.
