Grouping content


You may wish to resize, move, or rotate a number of items in your presentation at the same time, especially if you want them to stay scaled or remain aligned. This can be done in a number of ways, either by using frames or by grouping content. Earlier in this book, we looked at using frames and they are a way to contain content as you would normally group it on a slide in PowerPoint. If you manipulate a frame by moving it, resizing it, or rotating it, then this action will apply to any content in the frame as well. This transformation will occur without losing aspects such as proportion between items or alignment; for example, if you have the title larger than the body text, this will remain so, even as you increase the size of both.

A frame will group content to a certain extent, but this is not the only way to group content together. You can also group content outside of a frame, by selecting the element you want to lock together. There are a couple of ways you can do this...
