Support for SMIL is built-in the Backbase core framework.
Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL, pronounced "smile") version 2.1 is an XML-based language that allows interactive multimedia presentations. Using SMIL, you can describe the temporal behavior of a presentation, associate links with media objects, and describe the presentation layout. You can apply SMIL elements to widgets (such as XHTML or BTL elements) to add rich animation functionality.
