Summary

Always be networking. It was the advice my first manager gave me. Networking can be a challenge at first but, the more you do it, the better you get at it. The more you meet with people, the easier it becomes to see who is sincere about networking and who's not. The more you network, the more you will learn about the people you can depend on and the more they will learn about you.

In this first section on information meetings, we discussed status meetings, brainstorming, and networking meetings. These types of meetings are about giving and sharing different types of information.

The next section of the book will focus on feedback meetings. We'll cover training, employee performance, and focus groups. Performance conversations aren't punishment. They are designed to be helpful and improve performance. In the next chapter, we'll discuss training meetings as a way to offer feedback.
