Methods of communication


An ability to communicate effectively will always be central to a successful project. Not only is it important to communicate the right information when needed, but also to use the best method for individual communications to avoid the project going off track. The following are an identification of the different types of communication methods that can be used in your project management, complete with details of their advantages and disadvantages.

Meetings

The most detailed and responsive method of communication, face to face meetings provide many advantages that can't be matched by other forms of communication—including the ability to more accurately interpret body language, exchange physical materials such as documents and also to have a more structured upfront conversation about issues relating to the project.
