Policies at speed – Policy as Code
I think everyone can agree that the pandemic of the last couple of years has strained many organizations. Still, the ones that quickly got back on track and had less disruption were the agile ones. These organizations were not afraid to challenge the status quo, and as a result adapted very quickly to external events.
This can remind us that speed matters and can represent a significant advantage to an organization.
Speed as a business enabler
For example, let's look at great leaders from the past. Shackleton, during his expedition, was able to save his crew by trading speed over comfort during his trip to the South Pole, where they got stuck. He chose to be as agile as possible in that harsh environment. He knew that speed was essential and was the best option for saving himself and his crew.
